*Chuckles* Apologies for making you wait, Alpha. ;o) A little more patience will be required since I lost a day Saturday to house chores and a scheduled local get together. Sunday was a good day tho' for tank work. I managed to catch up some, painting all the interior hatches and remaining accessories and getting a little detail work done on the tank itself. Lastly, I remounted the tracks. A fun note: Using the working idler adjusters, I was able to re-track the KV-2 without removing idlers or sprockets. I ran the adjusters back out 11 full turns to leave some recommended slack in the tracks. I'll have to see how that runs. Pictures:

Good morning, Alpha,
Oddly enough, I was considering leaving it in the Dunkelgelb last night. ;o) With a pin wash and weathering, it would look pretty good I believe. I think that the camo colors and pattern I worked up will look even better, tho', so I'll go forward. Who knows, some year, I may paint it back to Dark Yellow\Afrika Mustard.
regards,
Painless

P.S. The figure I was sent was right for the listing, the picture on the site was out of date. RcTanks.de\Dominique kindly offered to ship me the right figure as soon as it was back in stock. I took them up on their suggestion of shipping it with my next order since I will be needing a Tiger 1 commander later this year. I'm going to use the one they sent as the driver and equip him with cap and goggles and other items. I may paint the pith helmet and set it up by the Commander.

Good Morning,
Alpha, I took to looking at all of that blank surface area last night like a painter views his canvas. Depending upon people's reactions, it could of course be likened to a handyman painting the walls of a flat. Work is ongoing but the second color is down. Next up, the red. I also threw in some photos of the 'now a driver' figure from Rctanks.de and the cupola mg I'm adding and a little support received from Jnewboy. Pictures:

Morning, Paul,
Thank you for the vote of confidence my friend. It is certainly needed. This afternoon I plan on deepening any light or obvious brush stroke areas of the olive grun and then applying the red.
warm regards,
Painless

Not quite what I had imagined....

but every artist has his palette ...the application looks smooth...swirly like the strokes of Van Gogh
I can kind of see where you are going with it Painless...will be waiting on the third color :D

Good Morning. Finished the Camo paint last night and I am happy with it. At the very last bit, I was looking at a corner and deciding whether or not to add more red and I stopped myself because I realized that any more would be too much. ;o) Now I can work on the Driver figure and start putting detail bits on. Fun! ;o) A Giant Shout Out! to Gielie for breaking a path to follow with his stunning KV-1. Pictures:

Looking great painless. I think you have the colour balance just about right. It is always difficult to know when to stop I find too, but for my money you nailed it.
