And some real life inspiration from the zone.
I happen to have a lot of the vistal ingredient's for this setting !
Amazing what a 100mm or 125mm ammo crate filled with dirt or sand can do for a shelter.
Water containers, drums used for fires, all sorts!
I can run wild with mess on this setting

Herman Bix, you have such a fine eye for assorted junk around the place, making for a realistic diorama.

Herr Dr. Prof!
I remember this particular touch of Mr Hermans going all the way back to an outdoor set(?) on the back of his Jagdpanther...complete with a chicken! The Man has the Eye for everyday Realism + Tanks!
regards,
Painless
P.S. If those Ammo crates are full, one bullet in the wrong place and it will be 'Operation Blue Coat' in Normandy circa 1944 all over again!

Dirt, missing mudguards, detritus, modern tanks, details, plastic chairs. What’s not to like? More realism from the maestro of realism.

You are collectively too kind Sir's...........
I do enjoy the mess & damage, yip, its a thing.
The bigger picture problem I have is just what will I do next ?
God knows I could take an interest in the Family, interact with homework, things like that.............................................
Got to sort out what the next mission is.
For now I will push on with getting this checkpoint/roadblock completed & by then I hope, get onto the next Tank build.

Just got to place the small arms, rubbish and RPG's, oh, and the highway sign & its done.
Might go as far as doing road markings but not sure about that yet.
Got to fill in a bit of time now there is no Ashes Cricket to watch
