Herman,
I've saved quite a bit on building details for the current Build whenever possible. It really is a rewarding and satisfying way to do things. Following along.

Painless

Thanks for the belief lads !!
Planning the stowage load on this is going to be influenced a bit by my JS2 build that had removable stowage on it.
if I can do that & still have the cluttered look common on a StuG, i've had a win.
First off the grid is to make scale ammo crates.

Playing with components and placement.
Tarps are difficult to get looking right, but I will persevere with them & see.
I found a couple of Taigen ammo boxes which will clean up ok and allow me to load them with ballast to get weight over the rear, and Ive made an L48 ammo crate.
The extra track that was for Pz IV length gave me enough to use as a hard edge around the basket so that should assist in supporting the top frame.
Adding in a Cognac barrel and some other bits should fill the deck up well.
I am out of jerry cans & MG ammo cans which is a shame.

Nothing fixed yet except the tracks & Jack.
A bit better look now that the crates are tidied up.
Tarp, load restraint ropes and a few other bits should make it unified and busy like a StuG deck should be.
Tow ropes are a bit of a question, not a lot of ‘steel-estate’ to place them.
Perhaps they could be bundled up on the deck with all the other junk !
Of course this is my idea of what this machine might have looked like the day it was knocked out.

Good Morning!
All the kudos for the day, my Friend. It's realistic and Historic. All the boxes checked, eye candy detail included.

Due to the third world telecommunications down here, I have to post these pictures here so a mate can see them, as they won’t get thru to his phone as a text immediately :wtf:

Well Col Bix, you have done it again. A very nicely conceived and executed bit of modeling. The stowage looks just great....not overly cluttered, but just right. Very, very nice work all around. Well done.

Thanks Mr Schpzr :{ I try.
Its almost completed.
Used a touched up H/L machine gun to go in the shield, it needed the butt reshaping but has come up ok.
The ammo box was a long lost leftover from a Verlinden MG set, and as I had no brass paint, used my girls gold nail polish to add a bit of bling to the Mauser rounds in the box ! No Schumo quality solution, but it really doesnt have to be eh ;)

I approve of the stowage! It has realistic weathering, but has been stowed and secured mit Ordnung just as Germans should.
