35mm is an 1/8th short of 1 1/2" out !!Spartan tracks wrote:Blimey that's nearly 1/2 inch to short no wonder it looks a little, odd
Excluding the final radio system(elmod I expect with Turnigy 9X pro) this barrel will be the single biggest expense !

Re: MATORRO JAGDTIGER CONVERSION
The march continues.
Sorted the two hull halves into position & secured with screws.
All the gaps have been taken up so as to stay put when the screws are let go.
I was struggling for material to use for the joins, and scoured the house for options.
Got the shites on & figured I would have to make a long trip into the city for sheet material.
All the stuff I used from the outer edge of the drawer divider(almost 3 years ago now) is gone.
So, I went to the top drawer where the knives & forks are , and there it was.
The one I bought when we moved in here !!
Carved strips off the side & got on with it.
Now the cutlery etc moves around when you yank the drawer open, but my needs are met
Secured strips of material on the inside of the hull to keep it firm and in line last night.
It had to cure overnight, so this morning I could keep going with the joint.
Carefully shaped each strip to be as close of a fit as possible and placed using good quality gel super glue to retain it.
Once they are rock hard I can coat the sides and roof in putty then mow it off to hopefully hide the join from even the most discerning eye.
The pong of super glue going off is real strong
but it stinks of success.
Bunged some paint on a few roadwheels too.
Just to mix things up a bit.

Re: MATORRO JAGDTIGER CONVERSION
Tore the base coat of putty off with a "renovator".............they are a gadget you buy on those 'TV offer ads.
Gods gift to tank building if you use putty !
Now Ive run a thinner coat of Tamiya putty across both sides.
Its looking heaps more 'homogeneous'
Bit more sanding, probably one more wipe of putty & it should be sweet-as.
