Hey, Painless, Look what I got. :)

Image

But you already knew that, being the first guy to post in the thread I did about it. :)

So far all I've done is install the IBU2 and paint the tracks. I haven't even installed any of the accessories. I'm thinking about getting a little crazy with a total repaint. She's all mechanically sound and ready to go so it's time to detail her. You may remember I have metal tools and mato has decent metal hatches. I picked up an extra accessory kit so I have the figures and dog unpainted so I can do them myself to try and avoid the googly eye syndrome. I also picked up a complete second hull top in IR. It's interesting that the IR top has more hatches that open than the airsoft top has.

So what do you have planned for yours? Will you repaint? The metal version doesn't really need any upgrades, unless you want to open hatches or something.

So here's my idea - When you decide what Stug you want to model we'll find another in the same unit and I'll do mine as that one. Kind of a dual build, two machines from the same outfit. We'll load the beer on yours and the cases of wine on mine. We can keep each other posted, and since we're not that far apart we can even trade parts back and forth if we want or need to. If ya want to, anyway.

Evenin'
Thanks for stopping by, Tom. I love everything about the Pershing, America's first step away from Light, Medium, Heavy armor to a true MBT. It was incredibly disappointing to have most all of the hard work on this tank thrashed right after completion ( Silly Dog has grown up a lot since then ) but so worth it to finish the redo again and make it better than it was. Your Pershing is a Beaut, no doubt about it. Keep that tank well away from jumping pets and playful children *chuckles*

That sounds good. You said you were in the beginning of yours and waiting for the Taigen Stug, right? I imagine you've been thinking about what you want to do with it and doing a little research, do me a favor and send me any photos of tanks you're considering so i can watch for them as i do research of my own.

Max,
Apologies! This is an old thread that I was replying to Uncarina on when he posted here today. ;o) The Taigen StuG got built as a Taigen\Profiline resin hybrid StuG Ausf 'B' last year. Here is the thread, my Friend.

OK, I get it. I should check more dates! I did check that thread, though and that's some first class work. You really went all out. So what unit is that? Maybe I'll see if I can find something else in that unit that would be suitable to model. Maybe something from later in the war. That might be cool, you did 1941, maybe I can find the same unit three years later.

You have definitely ended up with a great looking model of the early Marine Corp M26 as used in Korea Max.

Good morning, Max,
The StuG Ausf B unit designation is 1st Kompanie, 2nd Vehicle, 243rd StuGAbt, Battle of Kyiv, September 1941. I had built the tank in 1/35 scale ( Tamiya kit ) which is where I got the idea to make a 1/16 scale RC version of it.

Re: 1950 Marine Pershing M26 B-12 at Inchon Countertop Video

Two years in the making ( not really ;o) I did want to make a short countertop video for the Pershing since it is still one of my best running tanks years after the Build, Crash and Re Build. Even the Heng Long smoker is still running along tho' I credit a lot of its performance to the Mega Steam fluid and the 3000Mah battery I use in the tank now. I will get an outdoor run video made and up here very soon. Go by my channel and say Hello!
