Bix, that is, indeed, a "Hell Cannon": now how are you going to create the flames as in the photo? Hmm... lighter fluid? :O methane gas? :haha:

Scrap brass material, a piece of 20mm conduit from the father in laws stash, and a pair of wheels form the "I really have no idea where they came from " department and a bit of time while flicking between the NZ V England Cricket Test and the Aussies V India Test...............
Looks great, Herman! I'm always impressed with your knack for brasswork.

Is the conduit 20 millimetres ID or OD? I drew this up back when we were first talking about these, should be easy enough to scale it to fit your build:

It was difficult to find decent photos of the fuse, so I based it on the VOG-25 grenade from the GP-25 underbarrel launcher. Seemed like a good fit thematically and mechanically! I'll try a test print tonight to see how it looks in the flesh.

Some of the fuses appear to be out of 120mm mortar rounds.
But Im no expert on the finer points on Russian Artillery tech.
I would say that any fuse that is handy would do the job of igniting an Ammonium Nitrate & shrapnel stuffed BBQ bottle !!

For a bit of a sideline gag thing, this actually took a bit of mucking around !!
Now the base paint is on it does look a bit more understandable.
Still a bit to do for it to be finished though.
Once the tires are fitted I can dust it all in, but the rusted steel will need a bit more work to get it looking right.
Then I need to make a tow bar for the Hilux.
Mr Raminator and his enabling '3D sidekick will top it off with ammo to rest in the spare space in the ute tray, thus completing the combination.
I have RPG's to go in it as well so it should look rather overcrowded with ordinance.

Ok, calling it done.
A few go-overs on the rusty bits to get a more orangey look, a bit of Model Air Sand Beige 71.244 on the wheels and as a dusting & its looking about right.
Still to build a towbar for the Hilux and get the ammo from Mr enabler/ Raminator down south & it can be hooked together!

Dat's dangerous lookin', Bix! Behind the "Technical" it will be authentic. Now I hope peace in Syria holds so the real ones become museum pieces.

I agree with ya there HDP but for now its a source of great subject material :shifty:

I have begun on the towbar for the ute. Bit of brass sheet and a remnant of box section that I will make a rudimentary hitch onto with a drop pin in it.
For a model that might get an hour a year of running, it doesn't need to be groundbreaking !

I like the raw primed-steel chassis! A very neat touch to illustrate the improvised nature of the weapon.

For the warhead, I based the drawings on the dimensions of a 12 kg LPG bottle, so they're 18 mm in diameter; I'll scale the final ones down ~11% to make them 16mm instead. How many would you like?

They're in 3 sections (bottle, fuse, tail) for ease of printing and painting.
