Thats a sweet looking ride Mr Wolf, ole Von Norden would be proud.
Going by your description though, can you bring yourself to really cut loose on the aging & weathering like the book suggests ?
I know you are a traditionally conservative weather'r, so this might be a test of your will !! :eh:
Keeping an eye on your detailing & accessory fittings has really got me reassessing my own standards. You do great work sir.

Good Morning, Herman!
Before I forget, a first rate repair might be done on the Elephant bogie assembly using a product called Muggy Weld. Specifically designed to work on chinesium and other types of pot metal. Should be locally available to you in Oz. At least until a bogie can be sourced. Thank you again for looking in on the Spirit Build. I need to be careful since the UV overcoat is an unknown. I plan on using the Tamiya weathering powders and light Magic Grime and rust paint for details then seal with flats and apply the UV overcoat. *crosses fingers* We will see.
regards,
Painless

The Panzer Spirit Build was wrapped up on Friday the 12th with the cleanup and adjustment of the Sherman's adjustable Idler mounts and tracks. Final weathering followed along with another light coat of the UV reactive clear. I've weathered these tanks more than almost any other in my collection save maybe the early Stug III or Pool's 'In The Mood'. Had to as per the Novel, the Jagdpanther had sat in a forest clearing for 40-odd years and the Sherman was sealed up in a cavern full of tank building machinery by the Nazis. The Jagdpanther "cleaned up well" despite the "rusted engine grill covers and fittings" while the Sherman was "basically intact with a light patina of rust" I think that they turned out well and that the Author, Tom Townsend, would be pleased. Here are a few final pics of the work. I am currently awaiting a strong black light bulb in the Post to do a video and showoff in the Forum and close the books on this book based Build.
