Jagdpanther G2 base on Heng Long Hull
Re: Jagdpanther G2 base on Heng Long Hull
This Weekend went really well. Optics were gloss coated. Added the needed details to the back of the lower hull (mounts for the cable cutter basically). Then today the pinwash witg MIG Brown wash for Dark Yellow added the needed pop and grime to the top. The tools blend in really great now. Will see tomorrow if there is need for touchup then satin coat and start to work on filters.

The wash applied looks excellent. Once you add a filter it should all blend together nicely and bring the model to life

Tanks alot....

Re: Jagdpanther G2 base on Heng Long Hull
Thanks, yes it helped already, I will revisit the tank in the afternoon to evaluate in the daylight. From now on progress will be even slower. Will let each coat dry for 24h.
Re: Jagdpanther G2 base on Heng Long Hull
It Looks like summer break in this section? I can feel you, it was really hot these days. Made some Progress here, detailed the back side and painted the Camouflage. The jack will then cover the whole in the back. Unfortunatly I messed one Thing up, do you see which?
Now it will be gloss coating stenceling the crosses on the backside boxes and do the Brown wash. Already washed the outside road wheels, the inside wheels will be next.

It's either there's no welds areound thec exhaust blocks or the tow pin handle is stil moulded on ?
I'd say you have got a brilliant version of these elegant weapon system s going on here and your posts also add much learning for those that read it.
Don't be fretting over minor glitches, it's the over all effect you want and yours is of the highest order.

Gosh... I was sure I missed something.... Actually, I never even considered changing the Tow pin handleHERMAN BIX wrote:It's either there's no welds areound thec exhaust blocks or the tow pin handle is stil moulded on ?

hmmm, can i still add those? Maybe, and then just brush paint them. That is still doable... After adding the wash it wont be obvious it was added later. Thanks Mister Herman

No, that wasn´t it, it was adding the crank BEHIND the taillight. Because I couldnt make up my mind to use it. After some thought I finally said to myself:"U paid for it, so use it!"
But thanks for the Kind words.

Just did the weld seems on one side. That is some flimsy work, comes close to making photoetch clamps. 8 seems per exhaust pot. Had a look at the shumo resin ones. Concave weldseems with some subtle worms. Looks good, but they are asking 20€ per set.

Yeah, those are some fiddly weld seams.
I did mine off the rear plate then put them on after.
I didnt mean to hang shit on your work mate, it was more that you bunged out a 'test question' and I looked to see what I had missed in the picture.
I missed the weld seams on my JP but got them on the Zu-Fuss later on.
If I have one suggestion, its to weather the entire tank together, rather than do each section.
It will give you more of a flow on the final finish.

Well, I am happy for any recomendation to improve. I am happy to get ideas and that is why I asked. Everything is alright
The weathering will be done more or less together. That is why I didnt start with the filters yet. But with that size of a tank I cant do it in one go. It is too time consuming. But working in layers anyways, I dont think that will be an issue.

This is the difference. Will sand it over when hardened and then paint them. Good call on adding that
Dear Mr Bix, I thank you for recommending the weld seems... I just finished those on the second pot and I like it very much. Now I founde These

I feel the strong addiction to buy These
