Outside of the smoker, it wasn't so bad. One loose solder job on the On\Off switch and drilling a couple of tiedowns to screw into two of the leftover mounting posts for the old RX board left only the metal cable clamp which was a post screw as well. Then it was just a lot of plugging things in and routing through the cable tidys. I'm not going to open it up again until the new smoker from Artistic gets here next week. I got one of those clear jobbies like as came on the 'Palace'. I sent a 'Heads Up' email to Oz Armor as well where I purchased the defective one from. Can't be too mad at them, 'bad HL smokers' are to be expected. While I'm waiting, I'll touch up the Commander and paint assemble the new .50 cal and some detail bits I will be using and reusing.

Painless
P.S. New brass air soft barrel worked a treat as well. ;o)
I have to hand it to you Painless....it's what's holding up the L70...just don't have the patience to make control panels to hold all the other switches..think I've gotten lazy in my old age.... every time it comes to start back up on it... I do something else

Good Morning,
I hear you, Alpha, as I am awaiting a new smoker, I took time off last night to sit and relax after work. Tonight is chores but I anticipate having time to work on those items I mentioned earlier at some point this weekend. Jake, thank you! Like the Shermans I worked on earlier this year, there is a lot of detail to a Pershing tank since they are so industrial looking when fitted out with all of their gear. I have really enjoyed giving this old grrl a new lease on life.
regards,
Painless

Alpha,
You are very kind as always. I did not know until day before yesterday that the smoker had croaked. A replacement will be here at the beginning of the week and work will continue over this weekend. Fun will be had! ;o)

Painless

Alpha, looks like sooner rather than later. The smoker arrived from Artistic today. I ordered it day before yesterday so I am really happy with their service to say the least. I'll take the Pershing apart tomorrow and install it and get busy with priming. Pictures:

Alpha, plenty o' stowage thanks to you and Sassgrunt. Artistic certainly deserves all of the good press that they get. Today, I swapped out the smoker and tested. Two thumbs up! Finished cleaning up the rest of the electrics so the tank won't need to be opened again for some time *crosses fingers* ;o) Pictures:
