About both crewmen of yours.
I have the same figure which you use as commander.
But I use him as gunner/loader or whatever he might be.
Using him this way, his right arm fits perfectly outside that hatch.
I will take a pic for you later.

A little update trying to keep it all together. Decided to do the dirty deed and move up with the big boys and exchanged the TK 7.0 upgraded to a TK 7.1 which facilitated servo recoil. The Asiatam unit was the bee's knee's till it started being finicky randomly. Plus it's removal from the turret allowed me to move the barrel smoke/flash up there and tidy everything up a bunch.

So here is the 3D printed recoil unit produced and sold by Richard Johnson. Very smooth well fitted unit that didn't require any sanding for slick operation.

Here is me working how to get the carrier to mate and work with the long heavy Taigen Barrel.

I did some shim work that didn't Need to be done but I liked how the servo wheel fit better. The recoil unit comes with the printed gears and either with or without 1 9G servo.
Testing the mock up.

This is how it all went in.

I used a standard Heng Long elevation unit since the recoil unit is already outfitted with rails for such. There was some fabbing for the elevation peg which you'll see is a simple Heng Long Body Screw

But fits perfectly after minor sanding and works flawlessly.

I did have to drill 1 hole through the loaders side to mount a screw for the elevation unit.

And I poked the nipple for the smoker refill through the commanders copula. Still plenty of room if I ever wanted to run the IR battle gear.

And with the cover on you can't even see it
And a little low light action showing the smoothness of the servo recoil combined with the barrel smoke and flash. I am very pleased.
Sorry no sound effects, it's holy Hell hot here so AC was cranking and just the sound of the simple tank running.

The Richard Johnson rig works well, and in the silent movie immediately above, the flash and smoke are quite eerily realistic. Then, too, you were probably as hot as the little guys inside that Tiger.

Looking forward to some outdoor pics!
So get that damn thing on the road!
Sorry it took so long, work was a bear the past few months, but that gave me time to iron some things out.
