Ronnie really enjoying this build. Would a small motor help instead of a servo? Something small that is a bit stronger that you could fine tune and have more positive control?

You won't do better than a servo. There are small types out there that produce massive torque and all sorts of turn speeds across their sweep. With digital control and metal gears they can pull down governments! Go to a mainstream RC shop to get the best.

Hi Jimbo all i can find is a plastic geared one and its dirt cheap , not very good . Your search skills must be good as i cant find any small 360 metal geared ones
. Going to go for a servo turned into a low geared motor as c. rainford suggests .
- plastic 360 and the size i want with metal gears
- Going to make a smaller version of the large servo motor . Do away with the pot and wires straight onto the servo motor.

IR sight fitted from Panther G build, better make another this winter. Recoil almost right and some extra weathering as i lowered the turret, some marks on hull as bits of grit wear thro the paint. Trying to set up more switches to control the intensity of the lighting features.

The turret scrape marks seem to add to the over all finish.

The IR sight is a waste of space if i have no commander. Time to cut up and reform an HL figure, cut across chest, arms off and redo position of skip hat and paint. Left the filler on head white to look like a bandage and some dark red for dried blood. Still got them crazy eyes
- Stock figure
- Skip hat angled up for IR headrest , filler for forehead and shoulders . Eyes need fixed.

Nice work! And I think we all have a few of these little guys hanging around. I just did a basic repaint on one of mine a few months back as a 1st figure ive painted. I think it came out pretty good.

Hi Lordpanzer its the eyes and the skin tones that make or break figure painting. Suppose each time you psint the end result gets better. (ronnie42 cant use old login)

These are the only 2 I've done. Mr Henglong on the right was the 1st one I've done. The one on the left is a ebay find that I think turned out half was decent.
