Intro to the Open Panzer Project - and a new Control Board
Re: Intro to the Open Panzer Project - and a new Control Boa
Still no word from HK about what if anything they have done about production issues. However, I've noticed the TCB has gone on sale for $35 (in both the Global and US warehouses). Maybe they are getting rid of bad stock? Maybe it's an incredible deal? I can't say, but for those that want to take a chance I figured I'd let you know.

Am i right in thinking that the only problem with the boards is that the lights don't work, or is there anything else?

In fact there is most likely nothing wrong with the board at all. HK seems to be selling repaired boards from this summer. One user did receive a board that was not repaired, but so far I have only heard of that happening once. We have no idea to what extent HK's stock might be still polluted with defective boards, but so far all but one who has ordered since the re-release have received functional products.

Is the open Panzer board compatible with the Das Mikro sound unit like the benedini mini? Figured I'd ask here. It would be a very nice low cost alternative.

Yes, Carl, it is.
When FDR coined the phrase "The Arsenal of Democracy", he was talking about Detroit. Proud to live in the 2nd most violent city in America!!

I was thinking they were but wasn't sure so as usual I asked and am happy now. Between the discounted open Panzer board the micro sound card and programming cable all is under $100 US
