The jack base is a well known feature, but its just never given the attention to highlight it in so many builds.
I guess there are so many other things that absorb attention that by the time a humble jack comes up, the builder is 'over it' by then.
Great work mate, plenty of things for others to draw on.

Hey Mr. Bix,
Thanks for the kind words. Truth be told, most times I over look things while I'm building it, but i will happen to see a photo in one of my reference books that shoots me in a totally different direction. That actually happened with the 15 ton jack for the original T1. Then after seeing some close up photos I found out the the Late T1 I'm trying for had a 20 tone jack. Thank goodness for some of these old historical photos

Fantastic work
I have been thinking about the burnishing fluid for some time now. Your results convince me.to give it a try. It looks great and when chipped really realistic. Wonder how well it takes the paint. I might also have to invest in a PE tool. Even your tiny nuts look great.

Hi Mr. Bix,
Thanks
I picked up the side mudguard blocks from Bob and Daryl at ETO armor years back. Im not sure if he has any in stock, but sometimes he will have parts that are not listed on his site. I always send him a short email to inquire and he usually responds with the info I need, good people. The set came with the blocks and small hex head bolts that screw into the blocks for $20.40 bones. Heres a link to his site.

Hi Soeren,
Thanks
Yes i'm happy with the burnishing results

I was thinking that if they get scratched or coating happens to chip that I won't have some shiny brass parts looking back at me, instead it will be dull and dark like a real chip

When its time to start painting, I am going to prime all these parts first to help the paint to have something to bite into. I think it should work well...
Yes, if you work with any PE...that bending brake tool is the way to go. They have many sizes to choose from, but I got a smaller size so it was easy to store on my work bench.

Dear Mr. Burger Patrol, ist the size of the blocks for the fenders similar to those for the exhaust covers?
