Re: Nashorn build from a Panzer IV lower hull
Thanks for the good words Carl. The prototype is pretty much there and functioning. Just need to get a new controller and get it all adjusted/tuned up. It means I can now get on with the kit without worrying about having to revise components.

Love the engineering and creativity in building this. But, I'm with you...needs a little more brown and green. Almost looks too NATO-ish.
That said, I'm still awed by the overall build and barely see the paint job. I just see a lot of ingenuity.

Hi Philip, yes I took a long look at it last night and decided it needed more. Also added the mudflaps and rear door furniture.

This is the scheme I was going with (more or less)

It looks better with camo on the chassis as well.
Thanks everyone for the kind words.
Alwyn

Just magnificent Mr Turner, sure will be a treat for the eyes when you weather it and load the ammo cabinets.
A true credit to your determination to do something because its there to do
Plus, innovation to burn.

I just keep looking at the gun breeches that you do and my jaw always drops. Alwyn there is only one other scratch built detailed Nashorn that I know of, I was chatting to the guy that built it a couple of days ago, but the detail that you have on yours is quite incredible.

Thanks guys, after all the hard work it's nice for the result to be appreciated.
Now I just have to build the kits so more people can enjoy it.
