It looks like a molded piece to me, Doc. No tabs or obvious leavings from the Glue Monkey when I inspected it and did the repair. Maybe melted into place with a solvent? The darn thing would not have broken to begin with if the tank hadn't been overturned onto the floor jamming the barrel back through the air soft unit. * shakes fist at sleeping dog* I have two trays now that I can play around with if I find something that will melt plastic to itself. No rush or hurry. The tank looks fine sitting there and does everything perfectly otherwise.

I tell you Painless...it can be done lol....the stuff the glue monkey uses is sometimes undetectable...like on my Panzer III hull...cleared the engine vent ...one side came off easy...the other not so much...found there was a thin almost transparent film of glue holding it in place ...pried that away pretty easily ...and off it came...I'm sure it's a glued on piece ...looks like an easy fabrication too...just cut a piece of material...drill a hole...then cut away what isn't necessary to form the "U"...if I made it out of metal...I would glue it then counter sink drill it and use a couple of micro screws ...100% guaranteed not to break before the tank does

I'll keep that in mind. I'm not opening the turret again until the repaired part fails or I locate a tray. Anything that I use screws or pins on in that location has to be done keeping in mind that the air soft ammo feed tray trough is right there next to the sidewall.

NOPEcan't accept that...why am i detecting NEGATIVE WAVES ...The loading ramp looks totally upgradeable ...I got helicopter micro screws...if you had told me or even sent me your old one...I could have done it for you ...make that plate out of copper ..it would last forever

No negative waves. I know that when the periscope guards get here, I'll either have a new feed tray part by then or I'll make one up out of the two different spares that I have. The repaired part has to be replaced because it is just a temporary repair. I'll make sure to use your tray if I do, my friend. ;o)

Thank you. I'm just not using the air soft for a while until it's replaced. I wouldn't have gone on at length about it as I have except that I have made two attempts now to find the correct tray. Makes me wonder how many factories HL has making their tanks.

I recon I could whip up a dozen or so of those parts with stock HL plastic...Maybe a half a dozen in copper ...but I guess that point is moot at the moment
Now about the other parts...Usable???

I would have to disassemble B-12 and ship you the repaired part so you could get the dimensions of the trunnion socket. I will use your idea of drilling a hole and cutting off the top or since the opening is somewhat rectangular, do a trace pattern. That's if I can't find a matching replacement. No, the new HL method of mounting the mantlet on the Pershing is far superior to the old turret that I replaced. At any rate, the gunshield and exterior mantlet were replaced by Tamiya parts during the rebuild.

B-12 owes a lot to you and your metal working skills. The tank as it sits, is repaired and I have options for a permanent fix thanks to you. Once the periscope guard thing is complete, I think I can move on to other projects. I have that Taigen Tiger1 kit, the early StuG III B, Sassgrunt's 1/15 resin StuG kit and a 1/6 Stuart all awaiting my time and effort this year. ;o)
