Accidental it may be, but the strength of purpose and level of finish is sensational

Hi Tomhugill,
I've just started my M51

I see you said in you first post on the build a few minor mods to the hull.
Can I ask what mods they were.one other thing is where did you get your IDF water/fuel cans!.
Any info you can give me would be great.
Best Regards, Brian...

Hi Brizo, overall many mods which I detail in the thread. However when I got the hull I added mountings so it would clip onto the tamiya Sherman hull fastenings. These are just plasticard that hook over the catches with stops either side to stop the upper moving backwards

Hi
I'm waiting for my M4 to come should be here by Wednesday

I got it from e-bay £160 not bad for a full option. I have a mato top hull and have started on that.cut the rear deck out and filled all
The holes so it dose fit as good as you said. Might be able to use the body clips from the M4??.tried to get the turret and E sprue but no luck yet Alex has the gun barrel but not the other bits

. Tried Jason stores no luck there so just have to wait. Gives me time to get on with the main body. There's one other think where did you find your IDF water/fuel cans!!.I must say your M51is a credit to your skill and looks great well done

.Best Regards, Brian...

Hey Brian, the IDF Jerry cans are from axles modelbau and come with photoetch holders and straps, very nice, I need to male the straps up on mine. I'm not sure what IDF Sherman bits he has now but used to to pretty much everythingnyou need. Its worth emailing him directly has he might have stuff that isn't on the site! (Like the travel lock and stowage bins weren't when I bought mine). £159 is awesome you got a real score there! Dave's been trying to get holds of the utterer and sprue with out much luck. Again try axles, it'll be expensive but he should have it.

Ah was he able to give time frames? Most of the schumo stuff can be scratch built with a little patience if worst comes to worst!
