Shaun, would have loved to see that caterpillar falling ..bet its well rusty now.
If modern reasonably well maintained tanks working in the desert!!! can get rusty, then I think a german WW2 tank on a very long or even over extended supply trail, working in winter...could be rusty too, so will go with some rust, but a lot of mud too.
Cheers All

Rusted some wonderful spare links that Thanks for the Memory sent me ( fine chap ) Cheers T
Also rusted the main tracks...possibly too rusted at the mo but will adjust as necessary and of course adding copious mud too!
Worked on the Kubel snitzel thing ( might have made that up!). Sliced the HL one, added a thin disk and glued back up.
I had made a large ball of milliput, which I have cut down to fit the hull hole and drilled a hole to insert the Aber MG, plus the smaller viewing hole.
Just got to paint and fit, then can seal up the hull...I think.
Happy Mothers day to all modellers Mums
Tarrar a bit

ABE HI, I am a little puzzled about your MG mount, It is just that you have visited TFTM TIGER 1 Build so you must have seen the first page of his build where he describes in words and pictures how to make a working BALL MOUNT, the only thing he forgot to mention was the optimum size "BEAD" it is 10mm, Not just you but anybody wanting a working ball mount for a TIGER 1 then THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES is the definitive, it is cheap simple and it WORKS!!!

Shaun...wasn't bothered bout a working one and lost the wooden ball I had for the mount...so went with milliput.
Bet the wooden ball turns up tomorrow!
Life's like that
Thickened out the front hull plates, added some depth top the top lip of the turret front and added the extra sheet across the front with the rivets.
Added some Mr Surfacer texture to the added thickness styrene bits to simulate the plate cutting of the real metal.
