Herman,
Sometimes you make things hard on yourself but the things you make, you make _very_ well. Beautiful solution to the HL frogeye headlight issue.

Yes lads, at times Im my own worst enemy ! :/

Did a dry fit of the tracks to check tension & length etc. Way to long if I add any links, but slightly tight without.
Not having a tensioner Im stuck as it seems. Once loaded with battery & both tracks after a bit of running, this should be ok.
Is fitted with steel gears so no issues with the slight tension.
Should eliminate any track throwing as well, although I never had any during test runs pre-mod.

Cheers guys.
Your tracks look just right Mr Alpha, I assume they are the H/L metal ones that came with the tank ?
Mine are the much heavier aftermarket ones & they have bigger pins & are more rigid than the the H/L metal ones, same on my Tiger 1 & Jagdpanther.
Im sure once all loadings are taken into consideration they will be fine..........get some miles/kms up on them & they do loosen up.

Yep ... That's on the KT that took forever to get here...my usual vendor...somehow it got lost...then found...and packaged incorrectly lol...Strong beefy tracks those HLs...have a set of Matos ...but that's another can of worms :haha:

That's an old photo from another thread :D ...Not currently working on the KT...seems I have over complicated myself....when I do start building again...there will be three KTs on the table...that comes after two Stug IIIs 8O

Yes I probably need a good swift kick to my rear...but I just haven't been in the proper mood to get down an dirty :shh:

I had problems with track throwing both plastic and metal. ... Not throwing but shifting out of place on the idler...I love the KT but the metal tracks are massively heavy after all. Eto armor sold me the Henntec idler system for $56, with my new panther and other projects haven't put it in yet or I'd show the pictures. It's that or the torro lower hull I guess because I've tried everything else.
