Another job amazingly well done. ;o) This KV-2 is a thing to be proud of. Will you do a figure for this one?
warm regards,
Painless
Thanks Painless.. I know you and a few others were waiting for me to paint this gal...the bling finally wore off..

...and I have to admit... she is very pretty now
I can't believe how clean she still looks... yes sir... this one I am proud of
The figure? I'm not certain as of yet...the reason being ... that I cannot determine what the character looked like
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YbDRgCuSHgA
this scene was deleted from the DvD...I think it is on he streamed fan sub version... they only show two characters... but it's hard to tell who's the commander and who's the crew member.... I wouldn't mind putting the gal with the Russian Ushanka ...but it really isn't the proper helmet like what Katyushia wears...Also being that the Kv2 was mostly seen in battle... with all crew inside the tank...again . there is no way of knowing
With that said.. I could still fabricate a generic character... but the idea is definitely on he back burner for now
Carpe Diem Sir Painless

I love the picture of all of them together, but you're going to have to take another one on a more-cloudy day...when I look at them under that Hawaiin sunlight, it kinda makes me go snow-blind!
Late Note - AND, it turns out that MichaelC wrote nearly the same thing on your other thread about an hour before I did. See? It ain't only me!

It has to be you and Mike C

...think you all spend too much time in ye ol' man cave

....when I took the pictures ...they barely showed on the LCD screen of the camera ...took them at about 5:30 pm so the sun was behind the mountain already... and it was nearing twilight
As I finish the schools... I plan to group photo each ...as I don't think I can fit all my tanks in one photo..so far each school that I can possibly model has three to four tanks the upside to doing it like that is.. it will give me a better idea of which tanks to actually put figures in... this photo set shows the Kv2 doesn't need a figure ...as the tank itself is a character

.
What does the writing say on the side of the tank ?....is it a team name or a tank name ?
.
Are there any 'Rules' about which team uses which countries tanks ?? ........and is it acceptable to have a complete mix and match of tanks ?
Sci fi 'Mods' I have seen but Anime is a new one on me for WW2 tanks......nice detailing work on the commanders.....but you definitely need to find the 'close-up' setting for the camera

...
(it can often be a flower symbol)
LOL HELLO Dietrich
Let me see now... the answer for question one... the writings/emblems on the side of the tanks are symbols for the perspective schools...Question two .. the answer is pretty much the same as the answer for question one...it's the schools name
Question three.. there wasn't any real "spoken" rule to the choice of tanks... but in most cases the tanks used by each school was based on the country they represented...

OARAI

SAUNDERS

PRAVDA

ST GLORIANA'S .. AND

KUROMORIMIRO
OARAI was the only school that had identifying marks on their tanks... after their first defeat to ST GLORIANA'S
THE PANZER IV

THE STUG III

THE M3 LEE/GRANT

PZKPFW38T

TYPE 89

where the initial five...
Question four ...Yes it was acceptable for schools to have a mixed group of tanks... but in the original story... they only really showed OARAI having a hodge podge of tanks ...ST GLORIANA'S was outfitted with a Churchill (command tank)...followed by four MATILDA'S or VALENINE tanks SAUNERS made up of variants of the SHERMAN... PRAVDA..having T34s KV1 KV2 JS2 I think there was mention of some STALINS but I never saw any in the sequences..KUROMORIMIRO.. had just about every German tank made with the exception of the PANZER IV HETZER PZKPFW 38T
The mods aren't really SCI FI .... the schools don't do battle like what is seen in history... they gather and fight like two football teams would... so most of the storage and normally needed gear for long hauls isn't necessary ...reason when i speak of the mods I do... is opposite of what you all do... I strip the tanks to its most basic form add the tools... and that's it... some tanks like the PANZER.. did have the spare tracks... but for some reason left off on the TIGERS ...
Unlike on the normal HISTORICAL adaptations... where you add to the tank to simulate realistic portrayal
So basically a tank that would be found straight off the "showroom" floor .....a tank that would be considered inoperable and eliminated from a match up .. would be designated by a white flag that would pop up
Oh... yeah... I definitely have to find out what's up with the macro setting... I remember glancing over it in the instruction booklet... but when I took the second set of pictures couldn't find it again... so I will probably check again before taking more pictures of ERWIN
Have a good one Dietrich... sorry for the long post... hope you don't regret asking those questions LOL
