This will do for now, I'll have to do a test print before I go any further with detailing it some more.

I'm hoping no, but we'll have to see what the test print brings us...

And yes i know the next truck is not JJRC/WPL/HengLong, but the link is it was these trucks that got me started in Rat Rods and Hot Rods!!! :)

I will stick it in another build thread under RC Trucks and cars
But 6x4 with a brushless unit and 2 speed gearbox.
I have designed the whole chassis on this and the front still flips forward(a little) to access some electrics.
Everything is looking awesome!
Oh please do! I might not be ratting my Bruder, but I could use some ideas for the RC conversion!

So i finally got round to fitting my full metal axles into one of my trucks and what a complete load of CRAP!
The rear axle is ok, although there is alot of slop!
The front axle cannot steer the wheels and drive without locking up!The dogbones that provide drive into the steering knuckles keep jamming up.

Has anyone found a decent solution yet?

I was toying with the idea of trying to fit a universal joint instead of the dogbones, but will need to get a hex drive knuckle machined up first which i can fit a UJ to. then make it so that the front wheels can slide in and out so that the steering angle wll work. It is the only cheap way i can see to make these work.
Properly gutted

Could you get away with a plastic axle at the front? Most of the load would be through the back axles.

Isn't that a WC63? Martin's already done the design on that one, Will, and it's on my very long list of stuff to build that Martin designed. 8)
