Thx, Soeren. Agree. 3D printing allows me to make one part while doing something else, and saves much time on complex part bulds. I love my coocheer printer. Less than 160$ and prints very well. Using Cura 14.07 in ABS. It is a few years old software but works so well and easy to use. I would not recommend the newer version ultimaker software for these little parts.

Great work on the gun mechanicals xrad, 3D printing the socket for the ball mount is a neat solution. I like the way the barrel kicks up slightly at the end of the recoil cycle, it gives the illusion a little more punch. Even more so with the volume cranked, I bet.

Does the elevation work by rotating that cam up against the roof of the fighting compartment? That's a clever way to counteract the sheer mass of the barrel and use it to your advantage.

Thx Raminator. The ball is not entirely round so there is some play in the mount. Did up most of the final wiring. Spaghetti monster in my tank.... Added side exhaust ports. the real ones come out above the tracks, but that was impractical due to smoker location. Also, had to chop off one speaker because not enough room for everything and for extreme barrel elevation. not as loud but able to turn up the amp to compensate without distortion. The sub is now mounted across from the OPTCB in the castle. The midrange and the sub now both have 3.7 ohm resistors added in line. There is now a cut out under electric motor cooling guard for sound. I Still need to install cannon flash, MG, and lights. I designed some 3D wire tie mounts for the mess...

Rebuilt the suspension with brass bushings on all suspension mount shafts as they enter the hull. You can see one on the right rear mount. Each shaft also has a BB, and a brass sleeve to keep the 'split' shaft from expanding when tightening the 4mm screw. Axial motion is secured by the hull mounted right angle adjustable aluminum mount on each wheel. Installed a replacement arm for the rear broken one. Short Lipo 7.4v 4300mAh battery fits sideways.

Hey Raminator, Thx for pointing out the gun jump. In certain positions, the breech was hitting the sub. Had to trim off a few mm's. No more jump.

Note: not easily deciphered from the Benedini Mini instructions is that when connecting to the amp, I had to use the ground (lower)and the middle pin (to get line level), not the middle and upper pins. The middle and upper pins can be connected directly to a 10w speaker. The instructions are clear that the lower ground pin and the upper pin should NOT be connected to a speaker directly.

I was happy to see that my 8 yr old heng long flash unit works! Did need to switch around some wires on the plug as described in the OPTCB wiki.

Finished the major details including zimmerit - DAP plastic wood filler. Sticks very well to polystyrene. You only get a few minutes before it dries so work in small sections. I made a little tool to make the lines. It is not perfect looking zimm as this will be a worn used dirty tank. One coat rustoleum primer. Over the build hump, but still have a few bits to go....

Added a few more details: tool box, visor, hatch retainers. ...only did the major front end and roof welds. The rest of the castle welds are excluded. Easy to see where to work after coat of primer. The front plate side welds are in v-grooves so that the milliput holds better, and brass pins . All to be hidden by paint soon....after track mounts, tow cables, mallet mount, rear tow points, jack and jack mount, jack block, tail and head lights, wheel debris removers, front and rear fenders, and possibly front brake drums... sheesh, model tank burnout already..... might have to put this one back on the shelf for 8 more years
