Quick update, after finishing work payed some attention to the oil canister. Now should be able to do the straps and finish by mounting on the tank.

Another wonderful touch! I love the little imperfections in the oil tank.

Do you happen to have a photo of these pencils. I may get some and give them a go, see if I can get any better results than with dry pigments and a blusher brush that I use now
It’s your tank it’s what you make it

Hi Soeren The Aber add ons are very nice , well worth the effort. Wish they would give you a few extra parts. The wing nuts are a nightmare and the clamps are almost impossible to make them opening and closing. Your Tiger 1 , when is it starting ?

Hey guys. You pay a considerable amount of money for these 1/16th scale PE kits. So you should take some time painting those. I tried different new things on this tank. First I used VMS metal primer and got some bubles. Then I sprayed that tank silver. Because Osthessens bubbles looked odd I sprayed Vallejo rust over these areas followed by hairspray and then the green paint. Too much hairspray from the can resulted in too large chips. As those didn’t look too well I then applied silver sponge chipping to make the larger chips look more convincing. Then did several washes and rust.

The pencils are AK weathering pencils. You should be able to find them in most online stores selling AK products. I got the dust and mud set with 5 useful colors.

I am eager to start the Tiger. The KV is very close to finishing and atm I am also adding more details to my Panther G to finish that as well. Then I will definitely go for the large Cat.

Hi Here is another version , you can make up dirty washes ,rust etc using thinned paint to fill the waterbrush. Very easy to control the amount of paint applied.

Really, the dirt on the hull was not exactly to my taste. Needed to add more tones and started to work in some oil washes with lighter tones. The lubricant tank was also added and painted the cables.
