HL Truck Mods

Heng Long/WPL are now manufacturing 1/16 scale RC trucks, so it seemed sensible to create a forum area dedicated to the amazing things that members are doing with them. Post your builds, mods, and tips here.

And hobby king is having a flash sale on batteries that are perfect for these trucks

At that price I ordered 4 of them.

Ebay have them going buy it now for cheaper, but i suspect the leadtime will also be silly.
Although in the UK we can now get them for as little as £26 inc postage. Defo worth buying up a few to use for numerous projects like i have seen on this forum :)
Yeah mine arrived :)
Gonna order up winch and a small smoke generator. Plus make up a few things for scale. Love the work in this and other truck threads. All great work for inspiration

Can't wait to see the winch, Will. I had the same thought myself. I also bought some better tow hooks for the front bumper fir less than $4 USD so I'll post photos as soon as they get here. They're 1/10 so might be too big, but at that price I can afford to take a chance. :)

You're quite welcome, Carl. I think it's a good idea to check the flash sales daily because you never know what might pop up. I was also looking at this

Not much of a sale, but still an interesting piece, has anyone tried one of these multi armed thingamablobbies?

Found this battery on Amazon it's a 1200mah lipo that is very small. Should give me great run times. It's measurements are approximately 2.25 inches long 1.25 inches wide and 3/4" tall. I've fit it inside the tray to give you scale.

Should pack a nice punch for our little trucks.

If I use the tray and modify it slightly it may fit under the hood easily. ImageImageImageImage

Here's the link. Not as cheap as the one Gary found but it's a much higher rating.
