I told you ya needed roof armour Mr Soeren !!
Nice paint effect with that product. Great to see another set of roof armour not all rusted(German armour material doesn't rust as such).
How does the product work for the desired outcome once applied ?

Thank you for looking and your comments.
The AK washable agent is straightforward. They recommend adding 10% to the paint. In the yellow I eyeballed and it was more than 20% and that made the paint really washable. I coated a darker German Camo Beige and then a highlight. The Washing and moving of the paint then resulted in areas getting rhrough to the brownish base coat with really fine chips, more like you would expect from a white winter camo. (note to myself, need to do a white camo one day). The two layers of paint, both washable, intermixed during the process. And gave it a flat varnish.
This was the intermediate result
The brown and green camo were then sprayed on with only 10% of agent and the paint reacted a bit different. With larger chips to appear and less "washing". Not sure it this is how it works. Have to try it more on some models.
The ArmyPainter washes then helped tone it down, especially the harsh CamoBeig with RAL 1001 highlights. Went with flesh tone and soft tone, both reddish brown translucent products, that really do well for glazing. Might work as acrylic filters as well.

Hey there, not too much of an update. Added some more highlights to red and green and put the numbers on.

Hey there Herman, I tried a set of the rctank stencils here. Unfortunately the sheet wasn't sticking very well, so there is some white over spray. I will see how that works after some filter treatment, before deciding to cover it with paint. I used slightly thinned paint and went over the stenciled area with several very thin coats drying time was while I painted the other side. There is less red over spray, I worked from a slightly larger distance then, so less pressure this time.

Hey there. As you all know I do reference builds to try out stuff on 1/35th scale models for application on the larger ones. For the green yellow Panther I started on a dio back then and finally found the time to add some figures during the holidays. Have a look. It is named "Calling in Panther support"

l agree, very nice work. Have you tried working with Micro Set and Micro Sol? You need to be patient, very gentle and use quality decals but the liquids soften the decals to the point at which they 'melt' into the texture. The use of stencils require the same technique if you want to avoid 'underspray' or seepage. Hope that helps.

I wasn't too concerned with the appearance of the numbers anyways, because there was more to come.

Simply brilliant Soeren. So nice to see such a great level of detail. Just to see the numbers peering out from behind the spare tracks is very cool

Yes, this whole build is very good
Sorry, got a dumb historical question, would they have hidden the numbers like that behind spare tracks?
