HL did lose their CAD team, hence the problems in getting new tanks to the market, but in the meantime they have joined forces with another manufacturer to keep production going.

As regards the trucks, they are toy trucks, for children, ok as a base for some serious modelling and they are at least 1/16.

However, I can tell you that for not much more you will soon be able to get a far higher quality 4x4 truck, and that a 6x6 (700mm long and 9kg) will be added to the range. They aren't made by HL but the price is pretty damned good for what you will get.

From this photo it looks like the interior pops right out (probably held in with screws) and that will make detailing much easier.

Due about Christmas, apparently 1/16 scale. If they are 1/16 then great, but if not they will still make a great base. I would rather have decent running gear and scratch build the bodywork, no details as yet though.

That's too bad, because it would be very cool if someone I trust had one and could tell me about it first hand. How many have you ordered? Any projects in mind? I'm thinking this might be cool. Tires, Man, we need tires. Whoever finds them will be my hero for at least 20 minutes. Rock On, Eh?



Any ideas for dual wheels when the 6x6 comes out? One of these in my collection would be very cool, can ya dig it?
