Working late this snowy evening.... Was able to fit both machine gun mounts that Alwyn Turner designed Image Image they swivel very nicely.

The binoculars are mounted and also swivel at two points on the arm mount.

Dave at Forgebear has my order in route for the balance of the parts needed for the Nashorn. ( dual machine guns wiring harness ect...)

The model is quite heavy in its current state even with plastic tracks Image

Still have to wire up the hull underneath and add the led flash to the gun assembly...

Now on to the electronics... Mr Maxmekker is putting that together for me so that will be the finishing touch for this build.

So much to be happy about. From the quality of the design. The level of support and assistance from Mr Alwyn...

After speaking with Alwyn it appears he still has another Nashorn available. I can't stress enough how much anyone fortunate enough to make a deal for it will be both lucky (to have it) and satisfied by its fit and finish and it's presence once completed. It looks like a monster even next to my Tiger I and my Kv-2!

As the "show off" section of the forum noted I am nearing completion of this kit. I wanted to show the wiring setup with the traverse motor and upper hull connector. I've added the flash led to the gun.

I will add more photos when the Clark tk60 is installed and the wiring is tidied upImage

I know I'm late to the party, but you've made some great progress Carl. The little details like the binocular and MG mounts really flesh the (already fantastic) base kit out, and the blackening around the breech block is a very nice touch. On the home stretch now, eh?

Yes I've recently added the dual MG34 and some other detail bits. I installed the Heng Long wiring harness and upper hull connector from Mr Forgebear and the electronics are on order from Mr Maxmekker

I'm so pleased that you like it. Alwyn is such a great designer so much credit to him

A couple of weeks from now she will be rumbling about my yard

Cheers

I reworked the interior lower hull to accept my wonderful electronics from Mr Maxmekker Image Stian you are the bestImage

My original measurements for the Clark tk60 were actually spot on. I did however build some styrene brackets for the big 10 channel receiver and all the wiring for the Clark board. After about twenty maybe more test fits it is all inside this beastImage I've a bit more wiring to do to finish the IR flash, but the servos for recoil and elevation are all set as desired.

Alwyn's creation will come to life very soon and I will post some videos of the 8 channel Clark tk60 setup and the Nashorn in all its glory Image Alwyn Turner's kit is excellent and very well engineered. The front hull slides right into position as I've mentioned before and it's an excellent snug fit. So impressed.

I decided to make the rear spare road wheel brackets functional so as to have the extensions inside the hull go into the lower fighting compartment to allow the rear to latch in place. The extended steel is nicely hidden inside the rear cabinet. I replaced the rear brass mounts I fabricated with steel to add durability.

Hoping to have time to fire everything up in the next couple of days. Work is so busy at the moment

I'm a happy camper now!

Cheers
