Tiggr,
Good afternoon. It has been my experience that the glass portion can be ground flat with the housing. As always. check each light before undertaking this modification and remember that you are essentially grinding glass. Wear eye and breathing protection even if you do the job as I do, with a small, flat Hobby File.

Painless is correct. Make sure to have protection against the dust from the LED. You can grind them down quite a bit, as long as you do not get into the diode components. All of the HL headlights I've seen can be ground down with no problems. That's what I did to install the covers I mad for my bergetiger. Only took a couple of minutes.

I think the white metal covers I bought from rctank.de will fit nicely.
The frog eye lights do spoil the model.

As stock tanks these look good straight from the box.

Thank you Siegfried, some have had some air brush work and new sound boards installed.
The quality of Torro and Taigen tanks is worth paying extra for.
The running qualities and suspension set up on the Heng Long "professional" Königstiger (Henshel turret) is not as good as the other models.

But as the saying goes "buy cheap, pay twice"
I should have bought the Torro edition.....
