Good morning, Herman,
Mike has been a solid Friend and helped me expand my interests and foundation in the Hobby more than any other. I think he will really enjoy his Tiger and one day, ( if the world survives ) I'll build one of my own.
regards,
Painless

Today is technically my Friday so I sat down this afternoon to get some serious work done on the Tiger. Five hours later, the headlights are finished *chuckles* Serious, yes. At any rate the idea I had to dress up the IMEX lights played out really well. The completed units look much better than the stock Schumo ones. More tomorrow, Pics right now...

Good evening, Eastern Front,
Thanks for looking in on me. I've followed your work and wisdom for years here now. I use a variety of magnifiers to get this tiny brass work done. The newest ones are glass types with an Led and interchangeable lenses to increase the level of detail I can clearly make out. I look silly wearing them but this Tiger is for a fast friend so it needs to be as good as I can reasonably do it. It needs to run and a solid mount for everything is crucial. So, silly glasses. ;o)
regards,
Painless

Good afternoon,
Thank you very much, Jake. A lot more to do. Today I finished up Step 26 in the Static Build Manual ( 28 in the RC version ) Step 27 will be a ton of deck work with tools and mounting brackets. Onwards I go. Pics:

Got up from work at 5:00 and jumped right into Step 27 ( Static Manual ) I got a lot of the Tamiya plastic installed. I did a loose fitment on the Tamiya Jack Block. It looks great and with a little brass enhancement would ring the detail bell. I considered hinging the round armored cover on the far back deck and using it as a lid for an On\Off switch. I did some measuring and the space under it is not deep enough. Was a fun idea. I will use the hatches up front for something like that. Tomorrow or the next day, I will start on the tools and the other brass add-ons for the deck. Step 27 is going to take some time. Pics:

P.S. The Stix(tm) come in packs of 12. I got mine on sale for 5.99 at Hobby Lobby. They are like having tiny, sticky fingers for working with small parts or hard to reach places.

Continuing on with Step 27 ( and it's variants ) Sassgrunt had sent along a set of beautiful Schumo 'S' mine launchers for an early Tiger. I pulled them out and checked all of the parts and proceeded to install. They are solid in a way that only nickle silver and 3D brass is and assembled and mounted beautifully all the way down to the last set which was for the Left rear. There I discovered that Schumo had shipped this set lo' these many years agone with two right side braces instead of a left and right for the two rear mounts. I went ahead and drilled and mounted that last set and will either locate a brace or build one myself out of styrene. Irritating but what can you do? Pics:

Work days end at 5:00 so I sat down to do a little more on Step 27. Tonight, it was ABER Engine Deck Mesh Grills. These need a little pre bending before painting so follow the 'destructions' carefully. Pics:
