Any idea when the IBU3 and GSU will be available?
Not at the moment. We're still finding the odd glitch in the firmware and software, and TheIBUMan doesn't want it sending out until sorted out. The GSU will be after the IBU3 launch not at same time.

That sounds good. Releasing it with all the bugs worked out is good for sales. I hope the release of the GSU won't be long after the IBU3. I'd rather buy both in one go considering the shipping cost for me.

I agree. The IBU3 firmware can be updated by the user themselves, but unfair to expect the customers to find the problems then wait for the firmware update to be produced before getting past it. We’re not Microsfot Window :O :haha:

I’m not saying updates wont happen, the IBU2 lauched with a load of features but in the first 6-12 months received a lot of feedback and added even more features some which are still only available to the IBU2 and now 3.

I be pushing for the GSU myself so it be available as soon as possible.

Ian.

Okay tried the Visaton FRS8 speaker last night, and up to about 75% volume it’s fine then above that again cone moving too much. This is with the speaker not in an enclosure, so I think once it’s in a box the restriction of air behind the cone should stop this over movement of the cone.

Also been playing around with creating tank sounds, starting with Challenger 2 as I think that is great sounding engine. So now have the Perkins V12 engine ready for the IBU3 (video to follow). So far for the IBU3 the following engine packages are ready

American
Ford GAA V8 (M26 Pershing – Sherman)
Chrysler Multibank (Sherman)
Detroit Diesel (Sherman)
Continental R975C (Sherman)
Continental AOS-895-3 (Bulldag)
M1 AGT1500 (Abrams)

German
Maybach HL62 (panzer 2)
Maybach HL120 (panzer & Stug 3&4)
Maybach HL230 (Tiger 1 & 2, Panther)
Twin Maybach HL120 (Elefant-Ferdinand)
Praga TNHPS (38T Panzer)
MTU MB873 (Leopard 2)

Russian
Kharkiv V2 (T34 & KV varieties)

British
Perkins V12 (Challenger 2)

More been worked on

Ian,

Is it possible to see some screenshots of the Programing App?

Some screen shots in the preliminary manual here

http://www.ibu-electronics.com/manuals_26.html

Chances are final version will be different.

Took a look at the manual (quickly) and looks really good for first draft.

If I understand the setup software, one could actually make a translation from the TX/RX setup to achieve different control at the card. Is that a valid assumption??

Thanks.

Terry

Ian,

On page 6 of manual, second bullet, describes the connection for "Flash Connector" as a connection for high brightness LED's.

Question, is there a voltage limit on this (i.e. 2v, 3 v, 4v, 5v, etc.), as the are various valued high bright LED's out there?

Thanks.

Terry

I'm not certain Terry I would imagine same as the IBU2.

Maybe TheIBUMan could answer
