Thanks for the link to the wheels goes to Jackalope.
And for those in the states, the Flysky 3 channel radio is on ebay for $33 with free shipping. I really like this radio for these trucks, and have two already. At this price I may pick up two more, and you can get extra receivers for under 10 bucks each (got two extras, too, but need more already!). Can't remember how many trucks you can run with one radio, but it's a lot, like maybe 19.

I still have to get around to trying the two speed gear box on this radio, but it should work well.

OK, Will, here's a challenge for ya, think you could design a camera and mount for the C24 truck? Something to film the wildlife? I have one of those and after seeing how cool yours is I'm more determined than ever to make some kind of safari truck to cruise the Savannah in search of big cats.

They look cute, but not the best camouflage for the bush. I had a mk2 landie in South Africa and travelled the Kruger Park numerous times, it was painted Kalahari Pink which is a sort of warm beigy colour. It's the colour all the game rangers use on their vehicles. They use it because it blends in well with the soil and dry grass colour.

Mick, that Ural looks pretty cool, and I happen to have the kit waiting to be assembled. It would make a good command vehicle for the crew. That may be a bit too modern for what I have in mind, though.
Will, I like what you're doing with the rat rods. I think it's cool to imagine something and then build it, and in that spirit, I'm thinking it's post-war, maybe even early 50s, and we got hold of a surplus WC51 to use for a camera/chase vehicle for photographing cheetahs and leopards and lions (oh my). So far it's been stripped down and given serious rubber, but I need to come up with some kind of lift kit or make the rear wheel wells bigger. Right now the back tires touch and won't function, but overcoming these things is half the fun, right?
I was thinking some kind of tripod mount with one of those big clunky movie cameras they used back then. And of course I'll add all kinds of other cool gear, and maybe a lunch pail or two. Another idea was to use the WC64 ambulance, but cut out the panels in the rear to make it all open but keep the roof. Maybe something like the ladder you did to get to a roof mounted camera? That one might get built later, for now I'll concentrate on the surplus 51. This one is already fully RC including sound, so all I have to do is sort out the rear wheel clearance and I can get to detailing. I've said it before, we need driver files!! Unfortunately, the new SLA printer still won't function and is going back. If I can't print my own files it's just an expensive paperweight, and the slicing software still has way, way too many bugs in it. And the lack of tech support isn't helping much either. I'm seriously tempted to try the D8, but Woz pointed out it's still in beta itself and is having similar problems. Hmmm, I guess it's the peopoly or wait for the D8 to get sorted out.

That is very cool.
I like that alot.
As for lifting ride height. 2 options. Either longer mounts, which I am not a fan of.
Or make a spacer block that sits between axle and leafs. The problem there will be the screws not being long enough. But you can always buy longer bolts.
That look cool. Now we need some pictures and idea of scale to target

I'll have to design some new mount points - they're currently integrated into the frame and pick up bed, and can't be lowered on their own.

How much of a lift do you need Gary? 5mm?
