Hip hip hurrah. X 3. To Mr Bix.
Deathcrusher, you are a very lucky young person, to have such a skilled modeller assisting in getting your tank working. You are also very lucky he hasn’t hacked lumps off it. Sorry I mean exquisitely remodelled your tank, to represent a tank on its last legs returning its crew safely.

Thanks lads but no need for accolades!
Just doing the lad a favour to get his investment back up & running like any of us would if we could.
The metal turret poses some upgrade issues with the removal method of the gun so it can be attached to the recoil mechanism.
I went into a natal Torro turret to do the same thing & there was not enough room for the mechanical link in the casting behind the mantlet
I’m sure it’s achievable but not without some determined modifications.
I would leave this Torro as it is but repaint it and buy a V7 HL with IR & modify that
[/quote
Ok, thank you!

I was looking at the elmod stuff, but im wondering what is Mato's base tank electronics like?
As others have said, the Mato is a Clark board, but usually the TK-24 which is the cheapest of the Clark lines for our tanks. It's not generally regarded that highly. The TK-50 is a better choice if you go that route.

Ok, i have also heard apparently that Mato uses low quality metal on their tanks as i was considering getting a Tiger i from there. The defining factor for it was though that the side skirts could be remove individually and it was all metal. I was panning to paint it myself but i just need to know if the metal quality being bad is true or not.
Thank you

Ohhh have you no doubt it crossed my mind to remodel it

Needs zimmerit applied and damaged on the turret and rear hull, couple of guards missing,
That kind of thing g !!
Could be that Mr Crusher will look on & learn how to get more out of his model and go on to show us how he progresses in the hobby .

I do plan on modifying the tank, but i don't have enough space right now so i am waiting for my farther to put a shed in the backyard so i have enough space to mess with the tank as right now i have very little space in my room. XD

So I had a buddy on Reddit that got their Tiger II, he was quite the German WWII tank connoisseur, and he took great issue that the proportions of the turret were way off (too large). He didn’t care for it at all. I think the turret run gear was plastic, which for a model that’s all metal, is pretty silly that they produce it that way.
Personally the thought of of having an all metal tank is appealing to me, especially a Tiger I or II, but I don’t own any Matos so I can’t speak from personal experience. I do have several Taigen/Torros and I love them, with the exception of their MFU. I always dump the V3 or the TK7.0 for an ElMod right away.
