Re: [WINTER] Porsche Turret King Tiger w\Commander
Good Evening,
Waiting for one small Shipment from Tank Modelbau and then everything that I think that I can sensibly put into this pair of Builds will be here. In the past few weeks, I received some Great Bits from Forgebear, Battleground Models and Toucan Hobby.
In the Latest Med Update. Finally saw a real live Neurosurgeon up close in an Office and was examined. The Shots that they mentioned earlier for infection will be replaced by some Steroid shots right into the spinal column to shrink the bulging and herniated disks and nerve trunk. If these work, there will be a second series and then, when the Doc thinks it is time, the surgery to widen the vertebra tunnel in my lower back. So going forward, my options are Shots and Surgery. Starting with the Shots. I'm looking forward to standing at my Counter to work again Here are the recent deliveries:
regards,
Painless

*chuckles*
The Mate always gloms those Haribo Bears that Forgebear kindly includes with their shipments. I'm pretty sure that they taste swell.

"Steroid shots right into the spinal column":
That scares me more than the idea of surgery. Do you get whoopie gas first?

Good morning. Herr Doc,
Yessir, I will have to be knocked out so that I do not move during the procedure. The whole thing is kinda frightening but I cannot go on as I have been any longer. Back to fun stuff. I'm amazed by the quality of the cupola mount MGs from Battleground. Also the fact that the metal roadwheels for the older KT come with ball bearings already fitted. Good stuff indeed! Most of this wait has been tracking down stuff like the minor hooks that mount around the housings on the rear deck. Etc... Things that I consider to be essential details. Well, we are getting there now.

Painless

"I'm amazed by the quality of the cupola mount MGs from Battleground." I have many items from Pat O'Day's Battleground Models, most of which I haven't even built yet. They are just too nifty and inexpensive to pass up. On one of my first orders, I got a couple of "old fashioned" metal garbage cans, the kind my parents made me haul to the curb each week. I get all sentimental about them in this age of plastic wheeled things--but not enough to want to carry the old type, full, to the top a 140 foot uphill driveway.

Good Morning, Herr Doc!
I gave the existing metal mg for the old KT a once over. While it was good for the day back then, I have been educated as to what should be there. The plastic one that came with the new KT is better than the old style ones but still could use replacement. I have a couple of intricate, metal versions with mounts but those I am saving for a future Tiger 1 and Panther Build. These new ones look amazing and offer detail usually only available in pricey, metal versions. Looking forward to assembling and painting these little beauties. ;o)

Ok,
I Live. Back from the Hospital yesterday. Had a couple of Burgers for Dinner and then slept like a Brick. Slept off the last of the anesthesia and woke up this morning feeling better than I had two days before. Doc said it will take a couple of weeks for the full effects of the medicine to be felt. Stiff and sore today. Already changed the bandage once. Cannot shower for 48 hours. Good Lord... *shakes head* I already am feeling better overall. ;0) I can soon blow the dust off of my pile of King Tiger parts and do something with them.

Painless
