Amazing, truly amazing, I never cease to be amazed at your artillery guns, and the detail that you can achieve. Absolutely amazing.

Managed to sneak some work in between all the prep for this festivity nonsense.
A local field mechanic dropped in to check the ammo storage

Yup looks like the shells will fit fine

Got the tread plate and ammo cupboards fitted and the mechanic is checking the gun

All seems to be in order :haha: :haha:

Enjoy the festive fun

Alwyn super job. Looks as if you could just reach into the cabinet and grab a shell in full scale. The manufacturer of that equipment you are using to create these pieces should consider using your designs for a commercial for their products. Probably much more then they expected to achieve!

Awesome work Alwyn, it's all coming together beautifully. The Kwk43 in particular is perfect. Any plans to squeeze some servos for elevation and traverse under the engine deck or driver's compartment?

Hi Raminator, thanks for the good words. The servo for recoil will hide under the gun carriage, the elevation servo I think will go on the gun support under the gun carriage and be pretty much hidden. The slew servo should go in the engine compartment (I hope).

I've been busy working on Nashorn kit 1 - 'Adelwolfa' (the kits are going to be named - it's up to the buyer if they want to stick with them) so not a lot of progress although I did manage to start getting a tank crew together and painting them, plus got the ammo painted and loaded.

Aside from a genuine New Year Greeting which includes your ailing but hopefully improving lady,
I noticed your FULLY articulated Ammunition Inspector who shares a great similarity to my Motor cyclist who is presently a member of the Afrika Korp with a view to becoming a German Military Policeman,
His Motorbike has already been converted, Amazing what a little work with a Pin Vise and some modelling files and an Exacto saw can do.
Tell me my friend were you under the impression that you had ordered a I/18 figure and yet the figure that arrived is in my opinion much closer to 1/16?
When it came I straight off ordered two more, extraordinarily good value.
Shaun.

Hi Shaun, many thanks for the well wishes and all the best to you and yours. The figures come from china:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/391395029998? ... EBIDX%3AIT
at £6.99 + £2 for postage gets you 4 figures - it's a steal.
also bought
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121791837457? ... EBIDX%3AIT
which had some useful bits in
I buy them when I see them and follow the etoyshop because they sell off lots of bits cheap. Some are really good, some or not so good but as you say, with a pin vice and a dremmell all things are possible.

The figures are supposed to be 1/18 but look to me like 1/16

Cheers
