The hangers look good. I have the plastic ones and they're very fragile so making them from brass was a good choice.

Cheers Mr Billpe, not as easy as they look to make, quite hard to get the profiles consistent without a folder.
As for drilling the holes :/ :problem: ..................I have a rather painfull 1mm penetration in my left thumb from a slip up :{

Used slow cure super glue to place them, but layered a coat of 5min epoxy over the lot to secure them a bit more.
Only time will tell.
I had a note from the post office in my box when I got home tonight. Seems my Schurzen kit has arrived from Germany
I will have to get it tomorrow so Ive got mischief to get on with over the weekend.
Once these are placed I can hook into the mystery mounts & rockets.

Hmm, the special feeling you get when the post office leaves a love note instead of your package :eh:
Off I went, all the world of I.D. in hand, passport, drivers licence, medicare card, toilet roll(slightly used-you get the drift)

Engaged in a short, animated conversation with the "equally employed" goverment department representative about why the nice man in Germany did not spell my name correctly & how she should really let me have the package (before she needs to call a cop with a Tazer) as I can ascertain that the addressee is indeed me, and its merely a typo by a well intended German joker that is much better at making things for tanks than he is at writing postal details............... ;) :wtf:

Got my skirts

They are not Aber brass "rubicks cube" puzzles, but all the bits fit perfect, and the mounting brackets are simple, if not historically accurate(like I care less for these things as long as they hold the blooody sheets up ?!)

Started at the rear on each side & will work forward until all the mounts are on & strong.
The retaining 'washers' are spot on & will allow firm security but still be able to be removed relatively easily.
I intend to leave the obligatory one or two off if for nothing else other than to have a couple of spare retaining washers :haha:
As they are styrene it will bevery easy to age them & create the usual dents etc that Im sure would be present even on a 'young' tank.
Thanks to Tank Modellbau for the product and the excellent service- barring the spelling mistake :/
Cost-justifiable, good service and now the site is in full English

Yes Mr Ed, the same !!

Got all the skirt mounts on. Used a pencil to mark the spot for each after holding up a skirt in position. Once the first one was on, it was simply a leap-frog job to mark & place each one.
I also placed the storage tube on the rear deck.
It sure is going to get crowded up there once the tools are placed etc.

Now, its mystery mount making time.
Wish me luck.

Test run on track clearance & plate fit.

Need to add material to the mounts to push the plates out a bit, but these will drill.

Thanks lads, I'm real glad with the results of the Schurzen. Glad I didn't try to make them.
For the $45 bucks I might have saved would most certainly cost me far more in both delays, and sufficient Jack Daniels with which to cope :shh:
Have not yet placed the skirts & used the small retainer plates, but these may help hold them off the track edge. I will still add some material to the inner mounts to help hold the plates out regardless of the effect of the retainers.
I need to be sure that the plates are good before I set the length of the "mystery Mounts" as any after thoughts will create an anomaly in the time space continuum and result in a degrading of the flux capacitor :wtf:
Ahh, it will piss me right off :eh:
