That's good to hear Painless... you are so lucky to have Pale located so close...hope you take some nice photos of those stencils... I'm kind of curious how they are made :D

Good Morning, Scalawag,
Thank you for the very useful link. ;o) and praise. I might go so far ( but not as far as EddyK ) and set up a tin temp bridge and take a photo in black and white once I get the right crew for the tank. ;o)
regards,
Painless

Alpha,
Thank you again for the idea. The best resources are right under our noses sometimes.

HMMMMMMMMMMMM... Hope Pale wasn't too close under your nose :haha: :haha: ....kind of paints a strange mental image 8O

Seriously.Painless... What's the new ETF ...as I have no idea how long it takes to make one of those stencils ...or how they are applied...I'm sure the process of creating them is fast ... as his photo of the machine I remember from that post was pretty impressive ...what wasn't clear was if they were reusable...which means it's nothing like frisket paper as that would require you to make a stencil for every mark...it was intriguing to say the least...just never followed up on it

Have a good one Painless

Good Morning,
He mailed them yesterday so they should be here today. 3 sets of basically the Mato decal sheet cut into stencils. Scanned a sheet of them in and sent him a .pdf. Tech is amazing these days. ;o) I'm pretty excited to work with stencils again. Reminds me of just getting started in the Design business lo' these many moons ago. I'll have a Show Off thread once I get the markings and weathering done this weekend. Tonight, I think I will set down and make a springy antenna mount that I can tie off to the back turret MG mount like Sgt. Pool did. That will be the last thing added, because you know, "O de O! ARRGH! MY EYE!!!" *chuckles*
warm regards,
Painless

Well whomever got hit in the eye by the springy antenna.....It was his fault

:haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: good posing Painless ;)

Sounds like the stencils are a type of frisket ...very cool... you don't have to worry about paint flash under the stencil...I too remember the days of cutting stencils... it was fun...but oh so tedious ...can't beat them for repetitious labeling though...

Have fun with those Painless... will wait for your show off post

Good Morning,
Great!, Sunny day and stencils from the Master in my grip and I am laid low by a chest cold trying to turn in pnuemonia. I will try again tomorrow after a day's rest. Very true, Alpha, this is familiar tech and should yield much better results than Mato's decals. Pictures:

Very NIce.... Kind of what I thought they would be... reason I didn't contact him when I saw his post.... though multi colored marking is possible... lining it all up is tough.. and with some of my markings probably unbearably nerve wracking

Your "IN THE MOOD" should work fine...mostly white right? She'll be looking good I suspect ;) ...might make you revisit Maxine if you have any left over stencils :D

Take care of that cold Buddy
