The second gen Charger was only a 3 year run model. 68-69-70. Each year there were cosmetic differences that set them all apart, grills, bumpers, lights....

Oh, the Gen Lee was a 69 model. Lots of famous movie and show Chargers. Vin Diesel's Fast and Furious Charger is also a 1970, like mine.

Whichever year they were, they all seemed to share one common ability-" FLYING" The Dukes of Hazard of course but the flying Charger that I will never forget is as Steve Mcqueens Cobra gave it a nudge it soared into the sky landing in a SHELL Gas station! In the words of a Television comedian on this side of the Atlantic " I'm sure he did'nt mean to do that"! shaun

I've had a 383 for years that was going in as a mild build, but a few weeks ago I picked up a 440.

Funds pending I'll "rebuild" the 440 (read: use the block, heads, and nothing else).

I want to stroke it and drop an 8-71 on. We'll see if I can afford that at the tail end of this whole deal, that's at least a year away I'm thinking. Since I need a forged crank, rods and pistons anyway if I'm boosting it I might as well do the stroker kits they sell, 512 stroker, low compression pistons.

Plinking away slower at the tank recently. Got the new headlights installed on the body last night, they look great, no pics yet.

NICE!!!!!!!!!!! 440s are hard to come by... decent ones anyway.... command a pretty decent penny in the states ...How is it getting those parts on your list?
Knew a guy doing a Mopar rebuild ...and this was years ago... did he have difficulty finding engine parts...not to mention shops that did machining

Amazingly the parts are falling in my lap. Whoever doesn't want to sell me parts wants to buy the stuff I've got, lol. I put a boat for sale that's parked next to the Charger and instead of people wanting the boat, everyone wants to buy the car.

I just got sail panels, front side marker lights, front valance signal/parking lights, and rear valance reverse lights in the mail yesterday.

10 years ago parts seemed much harder to come by. You had to go to big swap meets to get stuff. The internet makes life easier. lol

WOW... You're hooked up ....Mopar fiends on that board... didn't even know places like that exists

Let's see, where did I leave off on updates?

The Charger still taking a lot of my time right now, among other things. I'm still chipping away at the tank.

I've got my fancy headlights completed and mounted.
I've completed the machine gun modification and mounted it.
Returned the front plate to the tank, secured and cleaned up a bit and made the fit less toy like and more model like. Previously there were gaps where it didn't flex with the body very well and looked silly. I also added the welds one each side of it.
Did some weld lines on the turret and very happy with how they came out.
Removed any last traces of the plastic front fenders on the hull. The cuts didn't end up a perfect copy of a real Tiger but they will likely remain unseen, covered by my gorgeous brass fenders.
Lined up and drilled out mounting holes for my side fenders on both sides. My fenders are 95% ready to be mounted on the tank.
Over-all I'd say the upper hull piece is nearing completion from all the major work and the small modeling work on it can begin soon. All the remains is to fix up the rear engines grates and engine hatch a bit.

Way to come back Zuul... Must be difficult to work on a Major Project like your Charger... do what life sets for you...then come to work on this
Will be keeping an eye out for future updates

It must be interesting to work on the big car and then come in the house and work on the small tank! Your hands and eyes have to adjust down!

I now expect updates on both projects please!
