The only stress on the screws will be the weight of the plastic mantlet piece and the barrel mount 50 cal. The weight of the main gun barrel no longer rests on the mantlet. It should be OK, if not I'll upgrade to brass screws or add additional nylon screw(s).

You could contact Special Ops and ask then to sell you the bolts that come with their barrel resin upgrade. But i am not sure the 12 points would even show at that scale...

Hi Louis,
I was considering contacting Special Ops and asking just that. However after trying several different approaches at making one I came to the same conclusion. The individual points will be so small that they will be virtually un-noticeable.

His photos pretty much validate the thought!
So now I'm thinking maybe I'll just try and create the illusion...some how.
Thanks,
Barry

Round bar poly (Diameter of 'G', and length of 'J' from the previous dimensional drawing) and using a jeweler file to "Create" the points by removing slivers from the OD of the round bar.
Lots of effort and there will be trial and error.

Jarlath,
Your idea sounds intriguing.

I think I am going to have have another go at it.
