Re: Late Tiger 1 build 1/6 Armortek
Thanks Ice, Still lots to do. Hull needs more weathering but I want to get markings and numbering on first. Plan on a lot more interior detail also. Motors are in and all running well but having the sound system looked at in the factory. Having a full length floor made up also. Need to assemble the blank firer and fit the smoker. Will be running soon.
How is your King Tiger. A friend has a mark 1/Armortek hybrid. I might be helping with some renovations on that soon. He is having an engineer look at the idler adjusters at the moment. Some improvements might be called for.

The one my friend has is mark 1 bottom hull wheels with armortek upper hull. It's a lot of weight up top. Not sure what the drive is. Gear drove but not armortek. Mmmetal tub sounds like a good idea. I want a KT after seeing it beside the Tiger. Will have to keep saving.

Re: Late Tiger 1 build 1/6 Armortek
Big arnt they, the main reason I went for the kt was there's not many at the shows we go to , I've heard that over time the mark1 kts can sag and warp the hulls and the wheels tow in
, so if your mates not going for the metal tub get him to block it up of the tracks when it's parked up for long periods
Regards, cliff

Re: Late Tiger 1 build 1/6 Armortek
Thanks Nick and Tim.
Firstly I decided to repaint the interior which had been painted a light ivory. Also I have received a supply of very nice decals for all the little interior details. Still lots of interior parts planned.
Also, working filler caps for the rear deck. I had left off painting the rear deck until these were fitted.

Sorry about the photo overload but it's been a while.

Nice touch with the pin up in the turret! Bawidamann, IIRC?
The entire British Empire was built on cups of tea ... and if you think I'm going to war without one, mate, you're mistaken.

Well done John, Looks very much the part, now how do you shrink your self down to 12" so you can enjoy the ride? Really makes you want to sit inside and experience the fine details.
This has been a very popular build, and so much of the details you have added reflect a skill and attention to detail that make this a Masterclass Build. And you the master builder,Really well done.cheers
