Taking into account the heated discussion on all forums and Facebook groups, we will see many variants and modifications

I'm not into post war tanks but it's good to see a new kit from major player.
I'm also not into postwar tanks (though I have the Leopard and Challenger). However, 6 Centurions were shipped to Europe only seven days after the German surrender, in May, 1945 and had been- combat ready
whilst the war was still rumbling on. In that sense, it
was a WW2 tank.
edit: Afterthought: even though the War in Europe was winding down in May, 1945- the war if the Far East was still going on. WW2 actually ended with the surrender of Japan in September of 1945. This gets around my own criteria for only collection WW1 and WW2 tanks. Echoing another point from earlier, yes a WW1 Mk IV would be incredibly welcome.

We should be glad that Tamiya has produced a tank in 1/16th scale at all.
This is entirely due to the instructions of the owner of Tamiya.
It is not economical and the product management of Tamiya
would not have brought a new 1:16 tank.
Models from the first batch of the Sheridan are still being sold.
The numbers are by far not as high as is often assumed.
A hobby is not there to save money...
I ordered the Centurion... we'll see.

No doubt, there's someone within our ranks who can magically return the Mk111 to Mk 1 status. There will be others going in the opposite direction as well, Shaun.

I will wait to see how Haya's compares before considering the Tamiya as I'm not a fan of the Tamiya electronics, the Tamiya elevation units, or the Tamiya rotation setup. I've even toyed with the idea of selling my Tamiya KV-2 to go with a HL KV-2 upper on a Taigen lower.

You know it’s servo operated in this and different mf/dmd?

Yes, I know. Most of my issues with the electronics is how it drives so it would need to drive different for me to want it.

Tamiya New electronics are years a head of the old stuff.
I have ran my Tamiya Sheridan for over 2 years, and have never had a problem.
But the People who don’t like Tamiya will always find faults.
