Coming along nicely Herman

As for those oil drums, don't forget they sell decals for various scale slot and RC cars, along with various scale trucks and trains, there's sure to be plenty of oil company logos out there to make your life easier.

Classy Hobby do a 1/16 plastic kit of German fuel drums and jerry cans , but lots of places are out of stock.

I do have a drum ready, a German one with the words ground off, but the decals MICK mentioned might do the trick.

I have some somewhere, but I can't think where they are. Plus I'm the opposite side of the planet.
All you need is for Mr Estnische to look in, he's also into slot cars, I wonder if he has the odd one or two going spare

A very motivational build thread. Your photos really get the modeling juices flowing. Maybe I worded that wrong. You definitely have good soldering skills and attention to detail.

My juices were certainly flowing last night when my beloved All Blacks retained a coveted trophy in Sydney.
Is a very ominous looking young Wallabies team that are sure to learn from the last 3 encounters and get outstandingly better as days go on.

In the build up to the game I decided very last minute to make a version of that little toolbox thingy that sits on the right side guard just behind the casemate on these and the KV1's.
With kick-off approaching, and the seemingly basic object not appearing to pose much of a difficult mission, I promptly got it all wrong ! :problem:
Using spare Taigen King Tiger engine deck mesh sprue, cut with scissors, and rolled around a craft knife handle, I hooked in & went for the solder paste.
No matter what gadget I used, or what Class-A words were thrown at it, the stuffn thing would not stay together.
Abandoning all structure and planning, I just filled the inside up with paste around every joint & more, stuck a few clamps on that would stay on, & blazed it with the burner. Stuck a big-ass screwdriver into the thing while it was red but cooling, & would you know, it stayed together.
If it was an Aber one, I still would not have got it better :/

Its on & will do for this kid ;)

Now I need 2 KV1 track links to use as spares on the guards...............2 lousy links..............(not the spares you get with tracks as they might be needed)............do ya think I can get them down here ???? :eh:
Naaaaaaah
