Couldnt resist and gave it a try. Yes, RAL8011 Looks bright at first. But also pale and I have no doubt it will go together with the red Brown and the filters nicely.

Soeren,
It's extremely cool that you get your kid to help with your tanking Hobby. Also that you use smaller scale static kits to test out paint schemes and layouts. Still following along on this one.

Thank you very much Mr. Wolf :D

Today, after one hour of painting I got the front and the right side pattern mostly done. Also, I now finally figured out the right Settings for my airbrush and can achieve neat lines now. On the Panther I sprayed with too low pressure I think, resulting in a too cluttered paint spray on the edges of the lines. Now it seems just right ;)

I am busy now woth work, so next update on sunday hopefully. Will try to paint the top and back then and start with the redbrown.

God day Sirs,

I went along with the Reseda camo. I figured that the camo intended for this theme by Dragon would be RAL8012 for the wide stripes and RAL 6003 for the "Worms".

In this the pattern will Change completly. I read in a Forum, that even 2 Greens might be an Option for camoflage. Like light and dark green. To get a better idea of how this might look, I prepared 4 strips wiht dark yellow base and tried all the possible combinations using RAL6003, RAL6011, RAL8012 and RAL8017 (sharp edge combines with sprayed Looks a bit odd  ). Here are the first two. And an all-sides-view of the finished first Color of the camo.

A decision was made. I went with RAL6003 stripes besides RAL6011.

Painting this kind of camo freehand seems to take forever. Counting only today, I sprayed about 3-4 h :O It is coming along. Now about 2/3rds done. I am curious how it will loke once the first layer of filter is applied.
