With my SU-152 there were some details that I fixed and others I deemed too much of a PITA to fix so they got left. I guess I was getting tired of not finishing projects. I've seen a lot of tanks with little issues in accuracy and they don't affect the overall look of the model so I think they are acceptable for me. I guess that's why my Abrams has gone so long without being finished. I'm getting to the point on that tank that I will just accept it's faults and finish it.

For international travelers:

The set is made using factory drawings and measurements from a real machine, the upper body of the hull is made of ABS plastic (3D printed), metal handrail. The external elements are made of injection molded plastic. The Recoil-lift-traverse mechanism is installed on the servo machines.

Once the elephant is finished it will be the turn of a KV-1 Taigen to be transformed into SU-152.

I started ordering ideas and the Russian product really tempts me.

Has anyone ever tried it?

I wrote asking for confirmation on the price, € 295 including servos.

The Juckenburg kit costs 150 euros, but the barrel handling system must be built.

The gun is partly metal and partly plastic, they wrote to me. So the barrel will be in metal and the muzzle in plastic.

And honestly the Juckenburg kit has a lot of problems with the details. Atems version is much better detailed.

it looks very well done. But between shipments and 5% of PayPal you get to 380 €. Then there are VAT & customs. It costs a lot......

A good and high-quality product cannot be cheap. In this set I use 3D ABS printing, cast resin parts, metal soldered parts., milled polystyrene parts. 4 different types of bolts. The assembly of this kit takes about 40 hours. And most importantly, I made this project using factory drawings and measurements of a real SU-152. Preparing the taigen chassis to install the kit requires 30 minutes of time.
