Hi All, I know this is resurrecting a very old thread but I felt I needed to finish it and update as I completed the M36B1 some time ago but never got around to finishing it here. It may appear to many (and especially those kind enough to get in touch, as some of you did) that I have been AWOL for a long time, but this has not been entirely true. I have in truth been rather ill the last few years (heart failure, etc) and so spent much time in hospital but I have been following, whenever I could, the progress of you amazing rc tank building friends. I am still 'tanking' as they say and working on new projects too when I can, so I though, and not to bore you further here, I should update this post/thread with a few pics of the Mato M36B1, now completed (sort of, they are never really completed are they?) and the last video that I uploaded a little while ago. So here we go....
And a few pics....
These are just a few of the pics I have to give a little idea of how it has come along. Since I was last here I have managed to start another project, a Chieftain (from Haya) that I am attempting to convert/upgrade from a Mk.3 to a Mk.10. It's a slow process but a welcome challenge! So, hello again to all,

!!
(still) Dr Phibes

Doc!
What a welcome Surprise! Happy New Years, Friend! I am glad to hear that your Health is returned. Your M36B looks like it rolled right out of the Maint. Depot on it's way back to the Front! Awesome and Inspiring! Looking forward to seeing your Efforts on the Chieftain and just having you active on the Forum again!
regards,
Painless

Ditto with the acclamation, and relief at your reappearance, Doc. Hope you're fighting fit!
There was a distinct void created by your absence.

NO WAY! A working breech!

This takes things to a whole new level of awesome! An amazing TD in every sense! TOTM winner hands down! Stunning, simply stunning, with no clue how one even arrives at that level of perfection and skill!
I've run out of exclamation points.
Glad to hear you're feeling better.
Regards,
Eric.

I owe so many thanks to so many of you for your support and praise over the years I have been here, so once again, thank you all. I am indeed hoping to continue and, as I mentioned, am presently working on modifying the Haya Chieftain. I'm, again hoping to do something a little different with this tank.
Meanwhile, I am looking forward to catching up with what some of you chaps have been up to as well. It's good to be back though I was never really away - just a rather long sabbatical of sorts
