YUP...you messed up someplace....Right now looking at the pictures you have no modulation going on at all...I'm pretty sure where you are going wrong....but before I say anything....you gotta tell me what you did first...as I have never had to buy a special set of anything to attain Modulations
The Technique is simple....the way Tom did it is elementary ....Garage Kit Figure makers use it most of the time to attain flesh tones.. Not sure if you remember my Bruce Lee figure....But that was a good example ....Same technique ...just over a less complex surface
So Yes Mr B....I'd say ...No Fear...and shoot her again

It looks like you've added the last coat a little heavy. Like zenithal lighting, each successive layer needs to be thinner. So thinning the paint and reducing the pressure may help. Not sure what brush you have but if you can set it to reduce the through put of air and paint it should help.

I think it looks great though. You can always go back and shade the areas you need too rather than do it all again. 1:16 is a large scale so casts its own shadows, so some lighting effects which are easy on 1;35 are hard to achieve on 1:16.

Hey Herman...maybe if I had used some Hairspray....the Modulations would have been more evident

Cheers Mr Bilpe.....................I agree the last colour application out of 6 ! was probably the cause of my dissatisfaction.
I rushed to get it done in the time & weather that was available & it shows.
Took care of it though, stuff the shadows, I resorted to good ole fashioned chips & grime !!
And I haven't even started on the dust, debris and screens yet
Once I chipped it, the matt seal dulled it down quite a lot.
Then I got my dirty on
MIG brown wash, sure for German Yellow tank paint, but the streaks & settled grime look is a bonus for a light green.
