Hi,
Sorry canned but I have got to wait until I get my turret from mr Forgebear. Until then there's not a lot I can do. Just getting on with the top hull. I do now have all the parts to fit the turret to the hull now just missing the main part

. As soon as it's here I will put some more pics on.As I said I cut the posts off inside of the 105 hull that hold the turret motor and centre rollers I will fit them when I have the turret to make sure they are in the right place. I should have the top hull done tomorrow!! With any luck if so I will undercoat and a temp top coat of desert yellow. Until I mix the right colour.
That's about it at the moment. Regards, Brian...

Canned, the reason I think mine use the mato turret ring is because it fits snugly with the upper hull, which the tamiya might not do on that cast hull. However your using the welded hull so shouldn't be an issue.

tom /bri...wot wot .... so one can use the 105 turret ring on the m51 turret one has to remove the 45degree angled /bracket/piece with the 2 fix holes ...so then you just fit the 105 ring to the 2 small holes as per 105 .....
then the turret motor goes from right side [as pic] to the left ? but its a no good fix if you req the elivation......

Hey stu, definitely don't remove anything yet. The bit you describe is required for the elevation. Would it not be easier to use the super Sherman turret ring? Can order it for you if required.

Done some digging, m51 uses the same turret ring as the king tiger. I've got a big box of king tiger bits so might have a spare. Will check this evening.
