That's a bloody good idea, I was just looking/concentrating on the leaf springs

Mount the axle on top leaf rather than under. Notch chassis.
Or cut chassis and angled front a d rear up so it reduces ride height.

I haven't been having much luck with the das mikro, probably what I get for buying the cheap clone, but the das mikro just seems like a lot of frustration. I know they can be programmed and all that, but my tech skills are somewhat lacking in that department so I've decided that wherever I have the space I'm going to use the $25 sound module. Here's a little video comparing the two, and the only problem with the $25 module is the size. It's pretty big so it won't work in the smallest trucks, like the WC51, but wherever I have the space, like in the ambulance and the Ural, that's the module I'll be using.

I think your second sound card is for crawlers. They typically have a brake function when activating reverse.
As for the dasmikro, did you order the F-150 or the euro truck version?

To be honest, I'm not sure. I got the last two from ebay but now I can't get it to show order details.
At any rate, the second module I show in the video says it's for "RC Car, Truck, Crawler" and it's not a bad little unit. Only one or two of the sounds (it has 10 different sound tracks) are any good for me, but I only need one so it's not a big deal. The Das Mikro definitely has more capabilities and i think it has better sound (except for the volume) but for what I'm doing the larger module will be just fine. Maybe one day I'll acquire the skills to program the mikro, but for now I'll keep it simple.

Great sound module review

I need get me some
I have been a little busy this weekend!
I have picked up some Bruder toys, which all of them will be converted to RC with WPL/JJRC parts.

I have also been busy working on a MAD 6x4 Recovery truck i am building for someone, long project. But again will be running JJRC axles up rear and custom 3D printed front suspension up front. The rear suspension unit will also be 3D printed and i have got to get on and design my own 5th wheel with working servo linkage.

Also got steering wheel setup in the cab!
The metal WPL axles i ordered 4 months ago (maybe 3?) finally arrived, but missing the leaf spring saddles. However i will get these on my M35 4x4 with 2 speed transmission and get testing that out. It has metal upgraded high torque servo and 20a esc running 2s.
That is my first truck, it would be nice to finally finish it!
My WPL B36 arrived, so i am going to upgrade it with 2 speed i think, or i may go twin 20mm direct gear motor units for real grunt.
Thinking about buying another MAN KAT1 to mount a rocket system on the back of.
The Q60 also arrived. So i have a few more projects to get on with! Definitely lost my mind!

Busy ain't the word, Will. You're gonna be like a one legged man in a butt-kickin' contest.
Definitely go with the 2 speed in the 6x6. On 2S lipo it's just way too fast and low speed control could be better. I'll be watching with interest if you go with the 20mm motors. I have some of those, in both 400 and 600 rpm, and they're just too slow, if you ask me. Even in a light truck like the WC51. Wayne says they make them in higher RPM so I guess I'll have to try some. I have a pair of the 2 speed GBs on the way and I'll try them in the Q60 and the Ural. In fact, I have a bunch of parts on the way, enough to make ya proud.
The Rat Rod looks cool as hell. Can we get some video?

Just ordered a couple sets of the 1200 RPM motors. I'll keep ya posted. It will probably be three weeks before they get here. Free epacket postage is cool, but rather slow.

Got the axles and driveline assembled, I need to start thinking about the van's interior now.

That looks just great, Martin. I'll most definitely have to build one of those. Someday you might cease to amaze me, but I don't think it will be anytime soon.
