Here is how the slip ring is installed. I have modified the installation a little but basically this is it.

The slip ring is firmly attached to the turret of HengLong. The position of the battery is finally inside the under hull? Therefore, is it possible to assume that this slip ring does not need a cable that can directly carry the battery power?
The upper hull of my M1A2 is made by Tamiya, so I'm wondering how to fix the slip ring in the turret, but your fixing method will be very helpful.

While waiting on some brass stock for use on the armored side skirt supports I’ve been working on detailing and accurizing the Drive Sprockets.

First step was to remove the cast on bolt heads. They were far too small and the spacing was too spread out as a result. I also needed to increase the diameter of the center opening to accommodate the center hub. The height of the center hub was also reduced, and the entire hub was recessed into the hub.

Here is a photo of the actual installations.



Here is the sprocket with the bolt heads before and after milling.





Here it is with the new bolt heads epoxied in place. I made a tooling template to hold the bolts in position with one another and the sprocket. After removing the template, I reinforced the epoxy with a drop of CA on each bolt.

The brass I was awaiting arrived so I'll be working on the skirt supports "IF" I can figure a way to have them functional and still be able to remove the upper hull "relatively" easy.
