So I bought these axles

How the hell do I connect them to the rest of the vehicle?

Sorry to inform, but they are Crap!
I am going to drill the grub screws out and try and retap for larger grub screw.

Have you tried running a bottoming tap into those shafts, Will? Mine came with holes that had been cut with a standard tap, so the grub screw bottomed out before it touched the shaft - once I'd re-tapped them they were fine.

I've not even got round to worrying about the grub screws.
I'm still trying to figure out how to connect them to the front and rear axles

Step 1:
Step 2:
But seriously, you need to cut the plastic driveshafts off the input shaft first. With the cheap ones, you'll need to grind some flat spots on the input shaft so the grub screws have somewhere to grab. I also used thread lock to keep the grub screws in.

You'll need to cut the shafts shorter so that the U-joint butts up against the back of the housing and acts as a thrust face - this is why they don't go on the shaft to start with, they aren't supposed to go over the knurled part.

Can re-use the plastic bearings they use in the differentials as a spacer against the bearing face when you repalce the internals for metal parts. Means it doesn't wear against the diff plastic and the plastic bearing can be sacrificial
