Who did you use to get them re-programmed?wibblywobbly wrote:Just got my three Clark boards back, reprogrammed with new sounds. I always liked the TK22 Pershing, which is now in the Gorilla, but the TK24 with Pershing sounds is excellent. I had Centurion sounds put onto a TK24 as well, which has gone into my Comet, so now have decent sound on that too.
I also had a TK22 loaded with Leopard sounds even though I don't have a Leopard, stuck that in my Chieftain ARRV as it rarely gets used.

Re: Bristol Armoured Division
I sent them back to Clark, he sends a Paypal invoice for about $10 per board, and sends them back with the new sounds on. He can upgrade them to make them reprogrammable, and convert them to SBUS tx format for around another $10.
It took a while though, I sent them off early Dec and got them back yesterday, worth doing for me despite the wait, and a lot cheaper than selling the old boards and buying new ones.

Re: Bristol Armoured Division
Before I start anything else I thought that I had better finish off what I have already started, so I'm working on a hut to cover the Arduino sound boards for the artillery gun.

Painted and all done. I'll see if I can make a roadway to go in front of it with microswitches to activate the gun, the current set up is a bit too obvious. I might look at a PIR sensor which will remove the microswitch altogether.

Re: Bristol Armoured Division
Danger signs, I've been thinking. If you mounted micro switches in several different places in a bumpy roadway, would it be feasible to have some sort of random switching between them, so you would never know which was live?

Re: Bristol Armoured Division
Let's put it this way, if there was a way to do it (and there probably is) it is beyond my technical knowledge. I would need to know Luke's code inside out, and there is rather a lot of it. An easier way to do it would be one switch that was the width of the roadway, and have it activated every ten seconds etc, that way no one would know whether it was active or not. I've ordered a PIR sensor, which should be a straight swap for the microswitch, I'll see what I can do with that. I could mount the emitter inside a rotating mount with a hole in it, so that the firing gun only emits an IR beam when the hole is lined up with the emitter, this would have a hit/miss effect?

Re: Bristol Armoured Division
Anything that introduces a random effect would add to the overall effect, I think. One can rake a chance at getting through unscathed. It you knew you were going to get hit, then you would just avoid it. Whatever you can achieve would be great.
