Would you believe it? It also appears that they've taken a dislike to our 1-16th IRAD badge I used as my RCU avatar! I've written to RCKen (one of the RCU moderators) to ask why my badge/avatar has been removed and to explain that the badge has nothing to do with a rival forum - its a new UK based RC Tank club badge for heaven's sake! :-\ I've also asked why my PM function has been disabled. I'll post his reply here.
BTW it has been quite hard to contact a moderator on RCU as it says you are supposed to send them a PM!!!!

Good one!
Cheers
Chris

sounds to me like the admin and mods of the site have lost track of why they are doing the job, language and blatant abuse should not be tollerated at all.
PM functions, if the forum is set up how I think it is set up then PM CAN be read by admins and mods, this function is by rights only supposed to be used if someone is getting abuse ect from another member via PM, and should not be used otherwise, (a private message is a private message afterall).
advertising another forum, most forums do not allow advertising of other forums, especially in the case of the "other" forum, probably due to the fact that they get money per click, if a rival forum takes away members than that money will not be coming in.
as for removing a whole thread, Im sorry but there is no need to remove a whole thread if it is not all advertising a rival forum, admins and mods do have tools to edit posts and threads, and those tools should be used to "tidy" the thread if need be and a post made by the admin/mod on the thread or a pm to explain why the thread/post has been edited.
As far as Abuse is concerned, that should be stopped straight away, if it allowed to happen the forum gets a bad name, people start to be wary, if not scared of posting, the forum eventually dies. By the sound of things the admins and mods of the nasty forum need to get their priorities/shop in order, but then I personally am not bothered if they do or not as I am a member of a very good, polite and informative forum right here and wouldn't want to go to a nasty forum like that if I was paid to.

Being an american I understand political correct behavior,it is destroying our country and it is everywhere. They are threatend by this forum so as liberails they attacked what they cannot understand. This forum is people driven and supported openly by the members without vender advertisment. They must attack any thing that threatens there servival, and this being a self supporting forum threatens there servival. That is why I support this forum, it's about people enjoying a hobby and supporting each other and not supporting some company advertising crap and bowing to the political correct behavior to mantain the advertising support.enough for now,I don't want to go overboard and release my full european american heritage which is not politicaly correct in my own country. forgive the spelling, not really my strong piont,SAXONDOG.
